For all Urban and Intercity Buses fuel is a very important cost factor. Most intercity buses have their own gas station or cooperate with one or more private gas stations.
Control of the fuel supplied to the gas station as well as the refueling of the buses is carried out by permanent employees, without specialized control and computerization tools.
All supplies must be recorded in the company’s accounting records
Consumption statistics per vehicle do not exist or data collection from different systems (telematics and accounting) is required for their calculation.
APPROACH
Input-output control system that meets the requirements of Greek Legislation
Automation of gas station and vehicle supply control
Automatic registrations in the computer system
Activation of over-consumption alarms
RESULTS
Accuracy 5 ‰ in fuel receipts
Reduction of personel working at the gas station
Absolute control of fuel leaks during refueling
Reduction by 95% of the time of registration of supplies in the computer
Prevention of mechanical problems by activating over-consumption alarms
Profit for companies at least 5% of annual fuel costs
