The Municipality of Patras has its own gas station and a fleet of about 200 vehicles and chose Logicom for the implementation of the project of automated recording of receipts and fuel consumption, as well as the provision of telematics monitoring services of its fleet.

The aim of the project was the automated recording of inputs in the tanks of the gas station, the automated recording of fuel deliveries to vehicles and machinery, the calculation of average consumption per kilometer and / or hour of operation, the calculation of fuel balances and the production of alarms and a number of events that monitors the system.

The utilization of this information system resulted in the reduction of deficits during receipts and overall reduction of fuel costs, while at the same time offering the possibility of producing reports and statistics for the administration and control mechanisms. In addition, the automatic recording of odometers and hour meters of vehicles / machines offers the technical service of the Municipality the possibility of timely preventive maintenance.

The telematics services offer the ability to capture and record the position, routes and speed of vehicles, driving behavior of drivers and a variety of other data, such as fuel tank level, tachometer indicator, engine operation at a standstill, etc. The Municipality now has complete real-time control over its fleet, increases its productivity, evaluates the driving tendencies of drivers and through recommendations reduces the possibility of causing traffic accidents.

Logicom has successfully implemented the pioneering and special challenges project INTEGRATED FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE LIGNIC CENTERS OF WESTERN MACEDONIA AND MEGALOPOLIS.

PPC has in the lignite center of Western Macedonia 6 gas stations and 13 tankers that operate as mobile service stations, for deliveries of fuel to slow-moving machines, which can not reach the stations to be refueled, as well as about 2,000 vehicles & construction machinery of all kinds and size.

The aim of the project was the automated recording of inputs in the tanks of gas stations, the automated recording of fuel deliveries to vehicles and machinery, the recording of the donor-operator of the pump, the calculation of average consumption per kilometer and / or hour of operation, the calculation of balances fuel and alarm generation and a host of system monitoring events. Especially for deliveries from mobile service stations, an additional requirement concerned the recording of the geographical point of supply, as well as the recording of the routes of each tanker.

The project was designed according to the specifications of PPC and was implemented in the period 2011-2013, following a pilot installation operation, in part of the infrastructure, but with full functionality.

Data from all points, fixed and mobile, are collected in a central database and dozens of users are given the opportunity to view the complete history of fuel handling and consumption of the lignite center.

The utilization of this information system resulted in a rapid reduction of fuel costs for PPC, while at the same time offering the possibility of producing reports and statistics for the administration and the control mechanisms. In addition, the automatic recording of odometers and time meters of vehicles / machines offers the technical services of PPC the possibility of timely preventive maintenance.

Logicom implemented in 2015 the project of automated recording of receipts, distribution and consumption of fuel of the technical company ERGODYNAMIKI PATRON SA.

The company has its own gas station and tankers that act as mobile gas stations, for deliveries of fuel to slow-moving machines, which can not reach the gas stations to refuel, as well as more than 100 vehicles & construction machines of all kinds.
